MANILA, Philippines – Michael Bublé and Celine Dion teamed up for special holiday duet, which aired December 10 (US time) as part of Michael’s “Christmas in Hollywood” special.

During the Christmas special, Celine and Michael sing Yoko Ono and John Lennon’s “Happy Xmas (War is Over),” but not before a little banter onstage.

“It’s been quite a while since I have sung it. I think I recorded this song in 1998, so it’s been a while,” said Celine.

“1998, so we were both 12?” joked Michael after some quick calculating.

The two then launched into the song, holding hands onstage, and later putting their arms around each other. “Happy Xmas (War is Over)” was released in 1971, as a protest against the Vietnam War.

On the night of the special, Michael and NBC sent out tweets about his and Celine’s duet. Michael said that it was an honor performing with her.

This is Michael’s 5th Christmas special for NBC, a tradition that started with “A Michael Bublé Christmas” in 2011.

Aside from Celine, Tori Kelly, and Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings also performed at the show, while Gigi Hadid, Kylie Jenner, Jay Leno, Eva Longoria, William Shatner, and Blake Shelton took part in the comedy segments.
