Kanye West reaches out to Mark Zuckerberg, claims to be $53 million in personal debt

MANILA, Philippines – Just a day after Kanye West released The Life of Pablo, the rapper unleashed another barrage of tweets. He seemed to be experiencing some financial woes. (READ: Kanye West’s ‘The Life of Pablo’ finally drops)

“Let’s dance in the streets. I am consumed by my purpose to help the world,” he wrote on February 13, Saturday (February 14, Sunday in Manila), adding “I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt… Please pray we overcome… This is my true heart…” 

It seemed that he was at the Saturday Night Live studio at the time. He was at the long-running comedy show to perform songs off his new album.

 

 

 

On February 14, Sunday, he tweeted mentioning Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

 

 

 

 

 

 

He wrote that making “bars” or verses “are worth more than money,” saying that “it’s something the people can use everyday to feel inspired.”

 

 

West seemed to be desperate to reach Zuckerberg.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He also called on Larry Page, one of Google’s founders.

 

 

 

 

 

 

In 2014, Forbes listed him as number 6 among Hip-Hop Cash Kings, with an estimated earning of $30 million in that year. He and his wife Kim Kardashian-West were number 5 in their 2013 list of the highest-earning celebrity couples. – Rappler.com
