
MANILA, Philippines – The tandems of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, Vice Ganda and Coco Martin are among the recipients of Box Office Entertainment Awards of 2015 for their work in movies A Second Chance and Beauty and the Bestie.
A Second Chance grossed P556 million last December, while Beauty and the Bestie earned around P526 million last January, beating the record of The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin also starring Vice in terms of box office numbers. The film earned P456 million in 2014.
Meanwhile, Vic Sotto and Ai-Ai delas Alas were declared as the 2015 Box Office King and Queen for their movie My Bebe Love, while Jericho Rosales and Jennylyn Mercado got the Film Actor and Actress of the Year.
The phenomenal tandem of Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza was announced as the Breakthrough Male and Female Star of Philippine Movies and TV. Alden will also receive the Breakthrough Recording/Performing Artist award.
Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo will receive this year’s Prince and Princess of Philippine Movies, Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil for Most Popular Love Team of Movies and TV, and James Reid and Nadine Lustre as this year’s Prince and Princess of Philippine Television.
The 47th Box Office Entertainment Awards, organized by the Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation, is scheduled on April 17 at the Kia Theater, Araneta Center, Quezon City.
