MANILA, Philippines  (UPDATED) – Director Francis Xavier Pasion, known for his independent films Jay and Bwaya, was found dead on Sunday, March 6. He was 38.

According to a report from the Inquirer, lawyer Joji Alonso said that the director was found dead in his Quezon City home. 

The news of his death was confirmed by director Antoinette Jadaone in a text message to Rappler. Antoinette worked with Francis on the show On The Wings of Love.
