LOOK: Owen Wilson visits the Philippines
The 'Zoolander 2' actor arrives in Manila on March 11

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Actor Owen Wilson arrived in Manila on March 11, for what he said is just a visit.

In an interview with ABS-CBN outside the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Owen was asked about his plans during his stay. The actor simply answered, “Just to visit,” before thanking the reporter for his questions and walking on.

The actor arrived on a Philippine Airlines flight from Honolulu, Hawaii.

Owen was also spotted at the Toby’s Estate in Salcedo Village, Makati, where he dropped by for a cup of coffee. The branch manager told Rappler that he was merely visiting friends based in Manila.


Owen’s most recent film was Zoolander 2, the sequel to the popular Zoolander, where he plays supermodel Hansel McDonald. (READ: ‘Zoolander 2’ Review: Last season laughs)

The actor is also known for playing roles in movies by Wes Anderson films, like The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Royal Tenenbaums, and in comedies like Meet the Fockers.

Owen co-wrote The Royal Tenenbaums, which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Screenplay in 2002. – Rappler.com
