MANILA, Philippines – Two Filipinos have been eliminated from season 4 of Asia’s Next Top Model, Wednesday, March 30.
Former beauty queen Gwendoline Ruais and model Alaiza Malinao bid farewell to the show in a double elimination. Although she was safe in the competition, Alaiza decided to give way to another contestant, telling the judges that she did not want to be in the competition. This week’s challenge had the contestants posing for a Subaru advertisement. Monika Sta Maria, who represented the Philippines and won runner-up in last year’s competition, was present during the challenge.
On Instagram, Alaiza wrote, “So much happened haha and its so crazy what they show and what they don’t on the editing… but for now, I would like to say KEEP YOUR INTEGRITY AND ALWAYS STAY TRUE TO YOURSELF!”
“I will post more soon! #TeamAlaiza loves you! Reality show is not real. P.S. I do LOVE modeling. I just didn’t like how the modeling is in the show,” she added.
Gwendoline also took to Instagram about her elimination in the show. She wrote, “Yes I AM a beauty queen. And I’m very proud of it! And no one can change me, they just have to accept that.”
“But #AsiasNextTopModel was on my#BucketList since I was a kid so I have no regrets and I’m so happy I came out of this still being myself.”
With Gwen and Alaiza out of the competition, the Philippines only has Julian Flores left to compete in the show. – Rappler.com
