MANILA, Philippines – YouTube FanFest (YTFF) is coming to Manila this year, and it’s bringing along a stellar lineup of social media stars with it.
On May 27, Gab Valenciano, Connor Franta, Tiffany Alvord, and more will share the same stage at the World Trade Center in Pasay.
Last year, fans at YTFF 2015 got to hear musicians like Kurt Hugo Schneider, Bethany Mota, and Macy Kate live and played games with vloggers like Thatcher Joe (aka Joe Sugg), Caspar Lee, and Oli White. (PHOTO RECAP: YouTube Fan Fest in Manila, 2015)
And while the lineup for 2016 has a couple of new faces visiting Manila, some social media favorites from last year are coming back again this time around.
If you’re heading to YTFF 2016 in Manila, here’s more about the artists you can meet at the event:
No stranger to the Philippine stage, Filipino-American AJ Rafael was in Manila in 2012 as part of his “Red Roses” tour and in 2014 to play with Jose “Quest” Villanueva. In 2015, he also visited the Philippines, and attended Gab Valenciano and Tricia Centenera’s wedding.

After his first video was uploaded in 2010, Connor Franta’s channel now has more than 5 million subscribers and more than 300 million views. Connor makes lifestyle vlogs and comedy skits on his channel, but he’s been busy with other projects too. In 2015, he founded a music label called Heard Well, released his own line of coffee, and published a memoir.
Gab Valenciano’s viral super selfie videos put him on the YouTube map, but he’s also an accomplished dancer, actor, and musician. His choreography for Beyonce’s “7/11” music video, in collaboration with Chris Grant and Beyonce, was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award in 2015. Musician Tanner Patrick is heading back to Manila to seranade his Filipino fans. Tanner and Tiffany Alvord visited the Philippines in 2014, where they not only performed but met and had lunch with their fans. (READ: YouTube star Tanner Patrick feels the love from Filipino fans)
Tiffany Alvord will be back in Manila this May. Tiffany started posting videos in 2008, when she was only 15 years old. The Fil-Am a cappella group is heading to the Philippines again. The Filharmonic was created for the a capella singing competition The Sing-Off and has since risen to fame, even making an appearance in the movie Pitch Perfect 2. Tyler, a musician who’s made a name for himself through YouTube and social media, is joining the rest of the YouTube stars at the fanfest this year.
Abra is a rapper who gained popularity through his song “Gayuma,” which peaked at number 1 in YouTube Philippines. The music video for the song shows Abra being tricked because of love potion.
Singer, actor, and comedian Mikey Bustos is a Filipino born and raised in Canada. Aside from his covers and original songs, Mikey rose to popularity because of his vlogs and parodies of Filipino quirks and habits. (WATCH: Mikey Bustos sings ‘That’s My Yaya Dub’ for Maine Mendoza, fans)
Wassabi Productions is a comedy and entertainment channel that features Alex Wassabi.
In January, Roi Wassabi, who originally created the channel in 2005, announced that he would be leaving Wassabi Productions to start his own gaming channel called Guava Juice.
Wengie is the only beauty guru in the YTFF lineup this year. The Chinese Australian is the woman behind Australia’s top Asian beauty channel and the 4th most subscribed beauty and lifestyle channel, according to videos’ descriptions.
The explorer from down under (Davao City, Philippines) will be hitting up YTFF, too. The Internet star and comedian has been sharing all he knows about surviving in the wild since 2010. (WATCH: When Bogart the Explorer meets the cast of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’)
Filipino Internet personality Lloyd Cafe Cadena is popular for his funny videos and memes on social media.
