Anne Hathaway weds

CALIFORNIA, USA – Actress Anne Hathaway wed fiance, actor and jewelry designer Adam Schulman, on Saturday night, Sept. 29, according to a report by people.com.

The two tied the knot at Big Sur in California, a naturally scenic place, perfect for the actress who first captured Hollywood and the rest of the world’s hearts as a lost princess rediscovered in “The Princess Diaries.”

“She looked every bit the royal,” said the people.com report. 

Hathaway, 29, wore a custom Valentino gown and no jewelry. She also kept her cropped hair (for her movie, “Les Miserables”), opting not to wear any hair extensions. Instead, she only wore “a 1920s-inspired headband attached to a simple veil.”

Hathaway and Schulman started dating in November 2009, a year after the actress’ split with Italian real estate developer Raffaello Follieri, who was arrested for charges of “wire fraud conspiracy and money laundering.” He was eventually sentenced to 4.5 years in prison.

Schulman proposed to Hathaway in November 2011. They had an engagement party in New York last February.

People.com’s source said that the low-key wedding had an equally low-key guest list:

“It was just friends and family. No movie stars. There were only a few people in the business there, like her stunt double.”

The couple’s 150+ wedding guests were treated to vegan fare and live music from jazz trio American Social Club.
