'Mission: Impossible 5' director named
MANILA, Philippines - Tom Cruise will be working with his Jack Reacher director Christopher McQuarrie for Mission Impossible: 5, says a story posted on Geek Tyrant on November 15.
As of last October, Cruise reportedly said that they were already working on "different images for the film and talking about it conceptually."
According to Geek Tyrant, both Cruise and co-producer JJ Abrams want McQuarrie to do the 5th film in the Mission: Impossible franchise.
McQuarrie produced and wrote Valkyrie (2008, also starring Cruise) and also wrote The Usual Suspects (1995), The Tourist (2010, starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie) and The Wolverine (currently filming, starring Hugh Jackman).
