Duchess Kate will not wear Kardashian fashion

MANILA, Philippines – Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge has reportedly sent back sample clothes that TV reality royalty Kim Kardashian reportedly sent to her, according to the Huffington Post.

The news comes in the heels of rumors the Kate Middleton also declined an invitation from Kim for “some girl time” over tea last week.

According to Huffington Celebrity, Marie Claire UK’s source said, “Kate is hardly going to turn up for an event with the Queen in a cheap leopard-print miniskirt or gold sequinned jacket.”

The Duchess, known for her exquisite taste in fashion and support of local British designers, is looked up to by fashionistas for being a “recessionista” or someone who is not afraid to recycle outfits she has worn in previous occasions. 

She also has no qualms wearing ready-to-wear and even sporty clothes.

The samples that Kim reportedly sent to her were from the Kardashian sisters’ new Dorothy Perkins line. (Dorothy Perkins is a high-street UK brand also available in the Philippines through RSSI.)

Huffington Celebrity said that “Kim was supposedly hoping that the duchess would wear them and drum up some publicity.”

The website notes that the rumors are still “a little nebulous” because they are coming from “unnamed insiders.”

A source from E! Online has reportedly denied the rumors, but since the Kardashians’ reality show is aired over at E!, the denial doesn’t really hold up.

The Kardashian sisters found themselves the subject of a lawsuit last October over the name of their new makeup line, Khroma Beauty. The affordable makeup line sold at Sears carries a name that is much too similar to the hign-end Chroma Makeup.

As of press time, there are no updates regarding the status of the lawsuit.
