MANILA, Philipines – What do Dingdong Dantes, Christopher de Leon and Mark Gil have in common?

The 3 actors star in GMA Network’s newest soap, Pahiram ng Sandali

Opposite the men are equally-respected actresses Lorna Tolentino, Sandy Andolong, Isabel Rivas and Alessandra de Rossi.

Other cast members are Roi Alvarez, Neil Ryan Sese, Julio Diaz, Luz Valdez, newcomer Max Collins and “GMA tweener” Kristoffer Martin.

The story

Dingdong Dantes plays Alex Santiago, a man driven by his desire  to care for his mother and who falls in love with an older woman (Lorna Tolentino), whose love realigns his goals in life.

Lorna Tolentino plays Janice Alvaro, a media executive whose relationship with her husband is suffering. Young man Alex Santiago’s (Dingdong Dantes) sincere interest and affection flatter her.

Christopher de Leon is cast as Phillip, Janice’s husband. Mark Gil is Larry Gomez, Alex’s domineering father. Newcomer Max Collins — who replaced Kylie Padilla in the cast — is Cindy, an adventurous woman who falls for Alex.

Alessandra de Rossi plays Baby, Philip’s lover.

Pahiram ng Sandali is directed by seasoned director Maryo J. delos Reyes.

“Directing stories about relationships is my comfort zone,” Direk Maryo said during the series’ press conference last November 21 at Cocoon Hotel in Quezon City. He has done many films with some of the senior stars of the cast and is excited to work with Dingdong for the first time.
