SHOWBITZ: Christmas and 2013

MANILA, Philippines – Rappler asked some of today’s most respected, hottest and most promising young celebs about their Christmas plans and found out that, like us, they only have gratitude for their ups and downs in 2012 and hope for better opportunities in 2013.

1) Lorna Tolentino

How I will spend my Christmas:

I will be working on Christmas Day but if time permits it, I’d spend it with my family in our farm in Cavite.

In 2012, I am thankful that:

[I have] good health and work.

2) Sen. Bong Revilla

How I will spend my Christmas:

I’ll be spending it with my family and my fans, because I will be promoting the MMFF movie “Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Ako” and the TV series “Indio.”

In 2012, I am thankful that:

I’m so blessed in my political and showbiz careers — what else can I ask for? With all the blessings that I have received, all I can say to the Lord is, “Thank you for everything.”

3) Bea Binene

How I will spend my Christmas:

I still don’t know where, when, how. There’s no final plan yet.

In 2012, I am thankful that:

My plans for 2013:

I will still live life to the fullest. Live, laugh, love.

4) Jake Vargas

How I will spend my Christmas:

I still have to talk to my family if we’ll go out or stay home. Definitely, I’ll spend time with my family.

In 2012, I am thankful that:

I can’t really think of one thing. There are a lot of blessings that I’m thankful for this year.

My plans for 2013:

I’ll leave it to GMA. Currently, I’m enjoying working in [variety shows] Party Pilipinas and Walang Tulugan.

5) Glaiza de Castro

How I will spend my Christmas:

I will spend it with my family at the beach.

In 2012, I am thankful that:

I never got sick even with the workload that I had.

My plans for 2013:

I want to travel, particularly to Japan.

6) Alden Richards

How I will spend my Christmas:

My family will go out for dinner on Christmas eve, return home and exchange gifts. Simple lang — we enjoy each other’s company.

In 2012, I am thankful that:

I bought a new car. It came from my own blood and sweat after working for two years in the ‘biz.

My plans for 2013:

I’ll be starting a new business, hopefully a gasoline station or apartments in Sta. Rosa [Laguna] where I live.

7) Solenn Heussaff

How I will spend my Christmas:

A very simple dinner with my family on the 25^th and then we’ll spend the new year in Argentina.

My plans for 2013:

I never really make plans because when I do and it doesn’t work out, I become sad about it. I just go with the flow.

8) Lovi Poe

How I will spend my Christmas:

I’d like to spend time with my lola.

In 2012, I am thankful that:

Everything went so great so I’m thankful for all of it.

My plans for 2013:

I pray for continued blessings.

9) Rocco Nacino

How I will spend my Christmas:

I’ll spend time with my family. I’ll make myself free on that day to be with them.

In 2012, I am thankful for:

I’m really thankful for the work.

My plans for 2013:

I’ll work harder and hope to get my dream role.

10) Jaya

How I will spend my Christmas:

I’ll take a rest. My in-laws and my husband are here so we’ll spend that day with a special dinner.

In 2012, I am thankful for:

The new show, “Nay-11.”

My plans for 2013:

I and Gladys [Reyes] still have to worry about “Nay-11” and make it a show people will love.

11) Kris Bernal

How I will spend my Christmas:

Charity work. I want to pay forward to other people the blessings that the Lord has given me. It’s like He is telling me, “The reason I’m blessing you is for you to share these with other people.

In 2012, I am thankful for:

My plans for 2013:

Continue my charity work every month.

12) Aljur Abrenica

How I will spend my Christmas:

My wish every Christmas is that every child will be able to eat on Christmas Day. I will do some charity work.

As for my gift to myself, I’ll bring my entire family to Batangas to spend the holidays together.
