
MANILA, Philippines – Movie and theatre actor Chinggoy Alonso died on Sunday, October 15 at the age of 67.
His passing was confirmed by his manager Shirley Kuan, who said that the actor died at the Chinese General Hospital due to colon cancer.
Personalities in the movie and theatre industry mourned the death of the actor.

Alonso has appeared in a number of theatre productions such as A Christmas Carol, Don Quixote, and My Fair Lady. He also did teleseryes such as Encantadia and Wildflower, and movies such as Etiquette for Mistresses.
His son Ralion also previously joined showbiz.
His remains lie at the Garden of the Divine Word at Christ the King, Quezon City. – Rappler.com
