IN PHOTOS: Tattoo artist Whang-od meets Coco Martin

MANILA, Philippines – Tattoo artist Whang-od finally got the chance to meet her favorite star Coco Martin when she was taken to Manila on Wednesday, October 18.

During their meeting, the Ang Probinsyano star and renowned tattoo artist from Kalinga exchanged hugs and had a chat.

Back in July, Coco had some personal gifts taken to Whang-od’s home which made her emotional.

Whang-od is a big fan of Coco. The actor previously shared a message from the tattoo artist on his Instagram account.

 

Tattooed by: Whang-od Oggay Born in 1918 Apo Whang-od is the oldest and last traditional “mambabatok” (tattoo artist) of Kalinga, Philippines. She has been visited by several tourists, international and local actors, and has even been featured in several newspapers and magazines all over the world. In our short trip to visit her we found out that she is a big fan of Coco Martin and was even wearing a shirt with his recent series Ang Probinsyano. Also she was a bit shy and like a young girl that blushed a lot when we asked her to look at our mobile phones camera so we can send this video, with her fans and Coco's fan help let them both meet. For someone her age and yet still making the country proud and admired worldwide for her gift in art, I say letting her meet her crush.
