Recap: ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids’ season 2, week 5
The kids amp up their performances for June 2 and 3

MANILA, Philippines – This week’s episode saw some of the kids unleashed their inner divas, as the competition continues on season 2 of Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids.

Here’s how the kids in week 5 of the show:


TNT Boys as Aegis

Fresh from their stint as Destiny’s Child, the boys this time transformed into the members of the rock group Aegis, singing “Sinta”.


Host Billy Crawford gave me them a chance to sing another song and the boys sang “Halik,” which got the audience’s approval.

Ogie Alcasid commended the boys for their singing, their ability to charm and make people laugh describing them as “unBAElievable.”

Marco Masa as Jon Bon Jovi

This week, Marco channelled rock and roll, dressing up as Jon Bon Jovi and singing the song “Living On a Prayer.”


Nyo Volante told Marco that he was initially nervous for Marco because it wasn’t easy acting like a rockstar. He was happy, however, that Marco was able to pull it off.

Krystal Brimner as Pilita Corrales

Krystal upped her game by channeling Asia’s Queen of Songs Pilita Corrales with a rendition of “Kapantay ay Langit.”


Sharon said that while it was not easy getting Pilita’s voice, Krystal was able to imitate quite a bit of it with her nuances while still adding her own touch to the song.

Chunsa Jung as Pink

This week, Chunsa transformed herself into Pink and sang “Let’s Get the Party Started.”


Nyoy said that although she had a hard time channeling Pink in the performance, she was able to make them happy with how she performed.


Onyok Pineda as Jolina Magdangal

Onyok transformed into Jolina Magdangal, singing “Chuva Choo Choo.”


Jed told Onyok that he made the judges happy, saying they were amused with how he performs. He also commended Onyok for coming to rehearsal prepared and professional.

Noel Comia Jr as Barry Manilow

Noel transformed into Barry Manilow and performed the song “Somewhere Down the Road.”


Ogie told Noel that he was a fantastic actor and that this particular performance, was so far one of his best in the show.

Sheena Belarmino as Nicki Minaj

Sheena once again channelled her inner diva onstage, singing Nicki Minaj’s “Starships.”


Sharon told Sheena that for someone who doesn’t rap, she was impressed how she was able to pull it off.

Esang de Torres as Christina Aguilera

Esang closed this week’s episode by dressing up as Christina Aguilera, and singing her version of “Beautiful.”


Nyoy said Esang was “an amazing singer.” 

“You have a beautiful voice, very powerful, very versatile [and], sobrang madali sa iyo gumaya ng boses. And mind you, si Christina Aguilera, hindi madaling gayahin.” (You have a beautiful voice, very powerful, very versatile [and] easy to copy a voice. And mind you, Christina Aguilera is not easy to imitate.)

Esang was declared this week’s winner, winning a medal, P50,000 and P50,000 worth of clothes for her chosen charity Jardin de Maria Foundation, a foundation which takes care of abandoned children. –
