MANILA, Philippines – Angelina Jolie could lose primary custody of her children with Brad Pitt if he is not allowed to spend more time with them, according to various reports.
Citing court documents obtained by The Blast, People said that a judge named specific steps that Jolie needs to take to help her children improve their relationship with their father.
Among these steps are giving Pitt her kids’ cell phone numbers and allowing him to call anytime, without monitoring their calls or reading their texts with him.
The court also specified a visitation schedule where Pitt gets allocated a certain number of hours a day to spend with his kids as he stays in London, where Jolie is currently renting a home while filming Maleficent 2.
Pitt will also get custody of the kids from July 21 to 29 when he returns to California, during which time, Jolie is only allowed to call them on the phone once a day at a prearranged time.
Their eldest son, Maddox, was exempted from the schedule because he was deemed old enough to determine how much time he spends with Pitt. The arrangement also required that a child therapist be present at certain periods as Pitt spends time with the kids.
The couple share 6 kids: 16-year-old Maddox, 14-year-old Pax, 13-year-old Zahara, 12-year-old Shiloh, and 9-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.
Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt in September 2016, citing irreconcilable differences. They were married in 2014, after almost a decade of being together.
Following the filing of their divorce, the former couple reached a temporary custody agreement, where Jolie was granted physical custody, while Pitt had visitation rights. – Rappler.com
