MANILA, Philippines – Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson has finally confirmed his buzzed-about engagement to pop star Ariana Grande in an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.
“You know, you didn’t have to get engaged to Ariana Grande to come on our show,” Jimmy said, to which Pete replied, “But I did though.”
“I feel like I won a contest. So sick…it’s f*cking lit, Jimmy,” Pete added.
Pete shared that men have since been tipping their hats to him when they see him on the street, with one man even saying, “Man, you give me hope.”
Pete jokingly added, “I didn’t know I was that ugly.”
Fans have been speculating about the couple’s engagement earlier in June, and while neither of them had outrightly confirmed it then, their Instagram posts and stories hinted as much.
One photo posted by Pete even shows Ariana wearing what appears to be an engagement ring.
“You know what you’d dream it be like? It’s better than that,’ Pete wrote in the caption.
The couple started dating in May, after just having come out of other relationships: Ariana from rapper Mac Miller, and Pete from writer and actress, Cazzie David. Pete and Ariana met in 2016, when the pop star appeared on SNL. – Rappler.com
