The TNT Boys wins this week's challenge

MANILA, Philippines – Your Faces Sounds Familiar Kids season 2 is now on its 8th week and the kids continue to entertain the audience with their mind blowing performances.

This week, the TNT Boys emerged as the winners of the weekly challenge. Here’s a look at their performances from June 23 to 24: 

JUNE 23

Onyok Pineda as Coco Martin

Onyok performed “Peksman” by Coco Martin.

Before getting comments from the judges, Onyok was shown a surprise video message from Coco, who told him that it was “peanuts” for the young boy to impersonate him. Coco also promised Onyok that he’d treat him to anything he wants.

Ogie Alcasid said that they were once again impressed by Onyok’s performance following his interpretation of Freddie Aguilar last week, which won him the weekly challenge.


TNT Boys as Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men

The trio this week transformed into Mariah and Boyz II Men to sing “One Sweet Day.”

Sharon Cuneta told the boys: “You are a blessing because you make our Saturday and Sundays so much happier. Sobrang hindi lang kaming sumasaya kung hindi lalong napapa-believe sa inyo (You don’t just make us happy but also believe in your talent).” 


Krystal Brimner as Dione Warwick

Krystal transformed herself into the notable singer-songwriter and performed one of her classics: “I Say A Little Prayer.”

Nyoy Volante said that he and Jed Madela, who serve as the mentors of the kids, did not expect her to get the exact voice of Dione. He commended Krystal for enunciating and moving like Dione.


Chunsa Jung as Bobot Mortiz

Chunsa went back in time to the ’70s and transformed into Edgar Mortiz, singing “My Pledge.”

Jed commended Chunsa for the effort she put into every performance.  


JUNE 24

Sheena Belarmino as Darren Espanto

Sheena once again gave a wonderful performance. She transformed into Darren Espanto and sang to “In Love Ako Sa’Yo.”

Sheena also got a surprise when no less than Darren dropped by to see her perform. He commended her for a job well done.


Esang de Torres as Adele

This week, Esang channeled Adele and sang “Hello.”

Nyoy noted that Esang’s powerful vocals helped her perform well.


Marco Masa as Randy Santiago

Marco transformed into Randy Santiago and sang his classic song “Babaero.”

Jed said Marco was consistent with his performance and was never out of character despite some minor issues.


Noel Comia Jr as Bob Marley

Noel transformed into Bob Marley, and sang the song “Waiting in Vain.”

Ogie said he wanted Noel to do his best and that he wanted to give him a high grade because he did not fail in his performance.

Aside from winning a medal and P50,000 in cash, the TNT Boys also got P50,000 worth of clothes which will be given to their chosen charity, Bahay Aruga in Ermita, Manila. – Rappler.com
