MANILA, Philippines – Off-screen love team and animal lovers Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla donated 10 animal cages to the Manila City Pound in Vitas, Tondo on Monday, July 1.
The Manila Public Information Office shared the good deed on Facebook, saying that the donation was made after newly-elect mayor Isko Moreno inspected the pound on Friday, June 28.
Mayor Isko also “expresses his gratitude to Ms. Bernardo and Mr. Padilla for the donation.”
According to an Inquirer.net report, the Manila Public Information Office also said that euthanization for the stray pets would be postponed per Moreno’s direction, giving the animals more time for future adoption. – Rappler.com
