WATCH: It’s going to be a messy, exciting season 2 for ‘Sex Education’
The show returns on January 17

MANILA, Philippines – The second season of Sex Education is right around the corner, and it seems like it’s going to be an even crazier ride than season 1.

In the first season, socially awkward high school student Otis Milburn teams up with the brilliant bad-ass Maeve Wiley to put up a sex advice clinic at their school Moordale High to earn extra cash.

As Otis, whose own mother Jean is a sex therapist, dishes out sound sex and love advice to his peers, he has to contend with his own sexual repression – and his growing feelings for Maeve. By the end of the season though, he and Maeve have seemingly gone their separate ways, and Otis has had a sexual breakthrough with his new girlfriend, Ola.

In season 2, we catch up with Otis as he learns to master his newly discovered sexual urges to take his relationship with Ola to the next level – all the while dealing with his strained relationship with Maeve. (FIRST LOOK: ‘Sex Education’ season 2)

To make things even messier, Moordale High is in the throes of a chlamydia outbreak, and Otis’ mom comes to give the students a lecture on sexual health. Also, new students enter the school to shake things up – and apparently, Otis’ mom is also dating Ola’s dad?!

Season 2 of Sex Education is set to premiere on Netflix on January 17. – Rappler.com
