MANILA, Philippines – Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez was evacuated by authorities immediately after gunshots were heard during her taping in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Sunday, May 5 (May 6 MNL), reported ABC.

The singer was on set filming her latest video for “Live It Up,” a collaboration with rapper Pitbull, who was also present when the incident happened.

Lopez was in the middle of an interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Rob Marciano when the gunshots were heard. Security immediately rushed Lopez to safety.

Marciano then broke the news on his Twitter account:

He later on tweeted that no one was harmed.

Reports also confirm that the gunshots were not fired in the vicinity where Lopez was taping.

“Fort Lauderdale police officers responded to a call of shots fired at the northernmost point of the Fort Lauderdale beach park parking lot. Jennifer Lopez and her crew were filming in the southernmost end of this park,” Detective DeAnna Greenlaw said in a statement.

“Officers responded to the area in an attempt to investigate the incident; however, the individuals involved in the shooting fled prior to their arrival. At this time, there are no known witnesses, no reported injuries and no further information,” she added.

Authorities are still investigating the incident. – Rappler.com
