MANILA, Philippines – Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter is set to launch his memoir in September, according to Huffington Post.

Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It, to be published by Bird Street Books, chronicles Carter’s life, from growing up as teen star to dealing with alcohol and substance abuse.

The new bio also claims to be a self-help book. The memoir delves into the Carter family’s struggles, including the death of his sister Leslie in early 2012 due to a suspected drug overdose. Nick’s brother Aaron Carter also confessed to battling drug addiction in 2011. In an interview with OK! Magazine, the young pop star claimed to have received cocaine from the late Michael Jackson. Aaron’s comeback tour After Party was launched in February after several years of absence from the music scene.

Alongside Nick Carter’s book launch, a new Backstreet Boys album, In a World Like This, is also scheduled for release in July.

A North American tour of the same name is planned for August and September.
