Multilingual ‘Let It Go’ from ‘Frozen’ will melt your heart
MANILA, Philippines – If you fell in love with the music from Disney’s Frozen, you’ll love this.
Disney has released a multilingual version of hit “Let It Go,” featuring lines sung in Russian, Thai, Japanese, and even Cantonese – among others.

Commenters have praised the seamless quality of this rendition – given the differences in the languages, the song doesn’t sound at all choppy or disjointed.
Additionally, you might want to grab the deluxe edition of the movie’s soundtrack, because the album features 7 songs that didn’t make it to the movie.
The songs feature an introduction from songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, and performed by them as well – not by the cast. Still, it’s not hard to imagine what the scenes would be like if the songs had been worked into the movie.
There’s “You’re You,” which Robert Lopez explained later became the song “Love is an Open Door.” “Your face is like an open book / so honest, true, and real / Other people lie and cheat / when push may come to shove / Your heart doesn’t work like that / So you’re the girl I love,” goes the lighthearted song.
Among others, there’s “Life’s Too Short,” which Kristen explains was “more confrontational than what ultimately made it into the movie.” Another song, “We Know Better,” was the first song written for the project and features younger versions of Anna and Elsa. “No one can tell us what a princess should be / as long as we’re together / you and me,” sing the leads. Fans of the movie have a lot to look forward to. “Let It Go” is nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song – if it wins, Fil-Am Robert Lopez, one half of the songwriting duo, will officially be an EGOT winner. Actress Idina Menzel, who performed this song in the movie, has also told Entertainment Weekly that if asked, she would be excited to perform. There’s also news that the movie is being developed into a Broadway musical.
