MANILA, Philippines – Five months after a sex video leaked online, comedian Wally Bayola made a tearful return to GMA 7 noontime show Eat Bulaga on Saturday, February 9.

In the episode, Bayola’s comedy act partner Jose Manalo was seen searching for the missing half of a cardboard heart. In the segement “Juan For All, All For Juan,” shot in Paco, Manila, a tearful Bayola appeared, holding the missing piece as well as a birthday cake for Manalo.

The emotional reunion was followed by the two sharing an embrace, with Bayola apologizing profusely.

Nag-iisa kong kuya, sorry hindi ako nakinig sa’yo,” he told Manalo. “Kuya, partner, nag-iisa kong kaibigan, sorry. Sorry talaga.” (My only brother, I’m sorry I didn’t listen to you. Brother, partner, my only friend, sorry. I’m really sorry.)

Ever the comedian, Manalo jokingly replied, “Tigas ulo mo eh.” (You are hard-headed.) But Manalo also acknowledged how everyone makes mistakes, noting that what’s important is how one deals with them.

Bayola also apologized to the show and its audience, asking for a second chance.

(To Eat Bulaga, to the viewers, I’m sorry. Sorry for the wrong I have done. I hope you give me one more chance to fix my life. I’m sorry. To all of you, I’m sorry.)

In September 2013, a video of the comedian having intercourse with a woman, who was identified as one of the show’s dancers, surfaced online.

In an interview with Kris TV  in December, Eat Bulaga host Vic Sotto said it was the management’s decision to give Bayola some time off. In the same interview, Manalo revealed that Bayola also apologized earlier in a show they did in Olongapo.

According to Inquirer, Bayola returned to doing stand-up comedy in Zirkoh Comedy Bar last month.
