MANILA, Philippines  Comedian Jose Manalo’s 17-year-old daughter attempted to commit suicide, her legal counsel Dennis Pangan confirmed to DZMM.

According to Pangan, Manalo’s daughter was found unconscious in their condominium in Greenhills around 10 pm on Wednesday, March 12. She was said to have taken various drugs.

A suicide note pointed to family problems as the reason for the attempted suicide, said Pangan. In the note, Manalo’s daughter, noted how her father broke his promise of paying for her tuition fee.

The young girl also aired her grievance regarding Manalo’s failure to visit and provide support for their family. According to Pangan, the young girl felt like her father did not treat her like his child.
