Anne Curtis denies embarrassing Sam Concepcion at party

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Anne Curtis has made headlines again.

The actress reportedly made a bit of a scene involving Sam Concepcion, her sister Jasmine Curtis-Smith’s rumored boyfriend, during the birthday bash of It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda, reported Pep.ph.

Anne went to Vice’s party following after fulfilling her hosting duties at the Smart Araneta Coliseum for the Bb. Pilipinas 2014 coronation night, which concluded past midnight.

According to the report, according to Pep’s sources, Anne allegedly approached Sam at the party, who was at the balcony talking to some guests.

It was there that she was said to have told Sam, “Why are you here? Who invited you? You are not classy enough to be here!” loud enough for the guests to hear.

She also reportedly told the young actor “Ba’t mo niloloko ang kapatid ko?” (Why are you fooling my sister?), and was said to have commented on the quality of his car.

Sam left, embarrassed.

Anne took to social media to address the issue directly, posting a photo of her and Sam together with some of the guests enjoying the party.

“Taken at Vice’s birthday. Of course I spoke to Sam that night and as always, I told him to take care of my baby sister. Like any ate would do BUT to clarify I DID NOT say any of those words written in the article. Kahit tanungin nyo pa si Sam,” she wrote. (Even if you ask Sam.)

“Even he doesn’t know where those words came from. Basta. Ang mahalaga Sam and I are ok. End of story, no issue here.” (What’s important is that Sam and I are ok. End of story, no issue here.)

Sam has so far remained silent over the issue over social media. Update: Audie Gemora, prominent showbiz veteran and president of Stages Management, which manages the career of Sam Concepcion, said in a brief statement relayed to Rappler: “Sam cares for Jasmine deeply and will not do anything to hurt her nor her family.” 

However, since the previous event, sources privy to the incident have also confirmed to Rappler the original version of the story, which is that Anne did in fact shout at Sam after having a few drinks.

This is not the first time Anne was embroiled in a controversy – in 2013, news broke that Anne reportedly slapped actor John Lloyd Cruz, magazine publisher JR Isaac, and their friend Leah de Guzman at a nightclub. Anne also directly addressed the incident afterwards via social media, apologizing to fans and saying that she had also apologized to parties involved. – Rappler.com
