Trailer for latest James Bond film ‘Skyfall’ now out

SKYFALL. A scene from the trailer of the highly-anticipated 23rd James Bond film, "Skyfall," released on May 21, 2012.

MANILA, Philippines – The first teaser trailer of the highly-anticipated James Bond film Skyfall was released on Monday, May 21.

The trailer for Skyfall, the 23rd film in the legendary film franchise, was first screened on the BBC’s Breakfast television show at past 8 am British Standard Time, and was shortly made available on the official James Bond website,

Later in the evening, the film will have its global premiere at the CannesClassics Cinema de la Plage, in Cannes, France.

Last week, the first poster for Skyfall was released to the public. The black-and-white poster features Agent 007, played by British actor Daniel Craig, walking inside the iconic gun barrel featured in the opening credits of the films.

Berenice Marlohe, one of the latest Bond girls, will be introducing the teaser trailer’s Cannes debut.

Also present at the festival is Martine Beswick, the first ever Bond girl, scheduled to introduce a screening of From Russia With Love.

This year marks the first time Bond films will be shown in the festival, with other 007 films scheduled for screening: From Russia With Love, Dr No, Diamonds Are Forever, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, and Casino Royale.

2012 also marks the Bond franchise’s 50th year, making it the longest-running film franchise.

Skyfall will premiere in November, 2012.
