MANILA, Philippines – Actor and host Billy Crawford has reportedly been detained. He arrived at the police precinct at 4 am at Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, on September 7, according to a report by GMA News.

According to the report, Crawford arrived at the precinct with an unknown woman to ask for help. When he was told that he would be driven to the police headquarters, he reportedly went wild and hit the female desk officer at the precinct. He also hit a glass door.

He was arrested and charged with “malicious mischief” and brought to the hospital for medical treatment.

But a separate news report from ABS-CBN citing DZMM quotes Jonathan Aride of the Taguig Police Station 7 as relating that Billy appeared at the station to seemingly complain of a problem, but then later started going wild. People there tried to restrain him, but he hit a glass door.

“[Walang physical contact], medyo tulak tulak lang dahil hinaharangan nga ng mga tao ko para hindi niya mabasag ang salamin kaya lang malakas siya kaya nagkaroon siya ng pagkakataon na banggain ang salamin namin,” Aride is quoted as saying in the report.

(No physical contact, a bit of pushing because people were trying to restrain him so as not to break the glass, but he was strong, so he was able to break the glass.)

Actress and TV host Coleen Garcia meanwhile asked the public not to judge her boyfriend after he was arrested, and made some clarifications of her own via Twitter.

Billy’s representatives have not yet issued a statement. (UPDATE: Billy says ‘it’s my fault’)

The incident comes after the two attended the 8th Star Magic Ball at the Makati Shangri-La hotel. (READ: IN PHOTOS: Star Magic Ball 2014 couples, loveteams, tandems)  – Rappler.com
