MANILA, Philippines – Actress and The Voice of the Philippines coach, superstar Lea Salonga, has expressed her dismay that someone leaked the results of the show’s battle rounds that was taped last week.
Lea confirmed the news that someone leaked the names of the Battle Round winners in a series of tweets posted on December 2.
I am angry. Very, very, very angry. I am proposing that we no longer have audiences invited from outside ABS-CBN because of one a******.
Thanks a lot, ********, for ruining the experience for everyone else. You no good piece of ****.
If we don't have a third season, it's because we don't deserve it.
Following her rant, Lea tweeted on Wednesday, December 3 that she has calmed down over the matter. She said despite the leak, the contestants’ voices will be heard on the show.
I've calmed down, and thought it through… perhaps we have leaks because The Voice of the Philippines is such a massive hit show. So…
…never mind that there are jerks that want to spoil things for the TV audience (**** *** pa rin sa kanya though).
However, for me, it is less about those results and more about the artists on every team that pour their hearts out through their voices.
That is the part that makes this journey such riveting television. So, regardless of what you know, watch TVOP to witness great artistry…
…in the singers that have made it to those Battles and Knockouts. Watch them as they navigate through the competition rounds…
…root for your idols when they sing. And praise God that our country is blessed with an abundance of musical talent.
