MANILA, Philippines – Multimedia pop star and The Voice of the Philippines coach Sarah Geronimo has another important achievement under her belt – she is working with Disney to release her cover of “The Glow.”
The song was specifically written for Rapunzel’s coronation ceremony to commemorate her inclusion in Disney’s lineup of iconic princesses, such as Aladdin‘s Princess Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty‘s Aurora, and Brave‘s Merida, among others.
Sarah lends her renowned singing voice, at once powerful and sweet, to “The Glow.”
“The Glow is a crown jewel in our Disney songbook, a song that truly reflects the unique qualities of a Disney Princess,” said Natasha Malhotra, General Manager, Branded Media and Content, The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia. “Through this song, we hope to inspire Filipino kids to believe in themselves, follow their dreams and recognize that true beauty comes from within by being kind and compassionate just like their very own homegrown Princess, the young, talented and beautiful Sarah.”

Disney chose Sarah to sing the English version, but the company also worked with artists from Asia to create localized renditions of the song – performed by popular performers like Oranicha Krincha from Thailand, Daiyan Trisha from Malaysia, and Chilla Kiana from Indonesia.
The song and its accompanying video premiered at 9am on the Disney Channel on December 6 across Southeast Asia. – Rappler.com
