Darren Espanto surprises ‘Voice PH’ judges with audition song
Darren sings ‘Domino,’ and Season 1's Klarisse de Guzman also makes an appearance
MANILA, Philippines –  The Voice of the Philippines coaches were in for a nice surprise when they turned around to see Voice Kids runner-up Darren Espanto singing onstage.

In a previously unaired clip from the show’s Saturday, December 27 episode, Darren visited the coaches, singing “Domino.” It was the same number he performed for his blind auditions for The Voice Kids.

Lea Salonga and Sarah Geronimo were both happy to see him, giving him big hugs.

Darren has a fan in the esteemed singer Lea, who previously mentioned that she felt he was deserving of the Voice Kids victory

Bamboo, who recognized Darren’s voice, pretended to give him tips, but in the end  smiled and congratulated him on his success.

After finishing second to Lyca Gairanod on The Voice Kids, Darren released his solo album and performed in two solo shows this year. Watch Darren’s interview with Rappler here.

Darren also introduced himself to coach Apl de ap, who was not part of the panel on The Voice Kids.

As he was about to leave, Darren was heard saying that he would still pick Sarah as his coach. Sarah was his mentor during his stint in The Voice Kids.

Also making an appearance was  the The Voice of the Philippines‘ Season 1 finalist Klarisse de Guzman, delighting the judges. Klarisse sang “Tulak ng Bibig.”

Both Darren and Klarisse were part of Sarah’s team.
