
MANILA, Philippines – Here’s another feather in Scarlett Johansson’s cap – she’s set to star in DreamWorks’ adaptation of the Japanese anime and manga Ghost in the Shell.
According to industry journal Variety, Rupert Sanders will direct. No word yet on her co-stars. TIME and CNN both mention that the film is a live-action adaptation of the original material.
Ghost in the Shell follows the story of Motoko Kusanagi, a cybernetic human who leads a team of specialists in counter-cyberterrorism in futuristic Japan.
Scarlett will next be seen in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron. – Rappler.com
