In an interview with ABS-CBN, it is reported that threats are connected to the cases she has filed against her cousin Saturnino in Iriga City. Nora said she is worried for her safety.
(There are threats that I have been receiving. The evidence is here, I am not deleting them.)
(This is one of the things I have to inform. It’s very bad. Of course I am scared because we do not know he person is thinking of next.)
The actress appeared before the municipal trial court in Iriga City on Wednesday, January 21 for the arraignment of Saturnino in relation to the case she has filed against him. It was reported that Saturnino sold 10 hectares of Nora’s land in the city, forcing her to go to court.
Saturnino also faces a perjury case filed in Naga City. Nora’s camp said he might face more cases for the death threats.
The actress said she is doing this for herself.
Pinaghirapan ko kasi ‘to, eh.
(I am doing this to defend myself. I really worked hard for this. From the beginning when I started working, my mom and I were really saving up. Then he told me it was for me. This is what is being argued on, what I worked for from the start.)
Nora returned to Manila Wednesday afternoon to resume her other appointments.
Last September, TV5 announced that Nora is no longer connected with the station, after her contract expired. She was also the subject of controversy, when her name was removed from the list of nominees for National Artists. –Rappler.com
