WATCH: If Cinderella were in ‘Fifty Shades’

MANILA, Philippines – Even Cinderella joined in on the Fifty Shades craze in this new mash-up parody from The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

In the clip, Cinderella took on the role of submissive Anastasia Steele and Prince Kit was the dominating CEO Christian Grey.

Before the clip was shown, host Ellen DeGeneres commented that because the film was so popular, studios wanted to catch up on the trend. (WATCH: Ellen DeGeneres stars in her own funny ‘Fifty Shades’ trailer)

“It [Fifty Shades of Grey] is making tons of money. It’s the number one movie in the country, and now other studios are just trying to cash in. Whenever something’s popular, everyone tries to make a version of it.”

It’s all in good fun of course – the live action Cinderella retains its squeaky clean Disney roots, though the title character is not your run-of-the-mill damsel in distress. 

The live-action film of Cinderella will be out in Philippine theaters in March 2015. – Rappler.com
