'She will never feel insecure and she trusts me very much,' says Echo on Kim
MANILA, Philippines – Things are going very well for Jericho Rosales, who’s working on a new soap called Bridges of Love. He’s also a couple of months away from celebrating his first wedding anniversary with wife Kim Jones.
“Number one supporter ko iyan, si Miss (Kim) Jones,” Jericho told reporters at the press conference for Bridges of Love.
He’s had to do many daring scenes, particularly for his last showThe Legal Wife, but Jericho said that Kim is not the type of person to get jealous easily.
“Natatawa pa nga sa akin iyon, tumatawag ako sa kanya para sa Legal Wife, ‘I have to do this scene.’ Tinatawanan lang ako,” he said. (She would laugh at me, i would call he when doing The Legal Wife, saying ‘I have to do this scene.’ She would just laugh at me.)
“She will never feel insecure and she trusts me very much. I mean, malaki yung tiwala niya sa akin na hindi ako gagawa ng mga bagay na wala namang katuturan, (she trusts me not to do things that have no meaning.)” he added.
As for baby plans, Jericho said: “If you’re gonna ask me about the baby, wala pa. Hindi pa ngayon kasi busing-busy siya, e.” (No plans. Not yet because she’s a busy woman.)
Does Kim cook for him? “Yes, she does. Nagpapabaon pa iyan ng food sa set minsan. Papadala iyan ng food (She would put food together for the set. She will send food.)”
Jericho described her “amazing. Jackpot ako.”
As for his fashion sense, Jericho also learned alot from Kim, a popular style blogger and image model. “Just by watching her, ang dami kong natututunan. (I’ve learned so much). I think I married a super wife.”
‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo’
Jericho Rosales said that he is very happy of the news on the remake of Pangako Sa ‘Yo, which launched him and Kristine Hermosa to a new level of fame back in 2000.
Jericho and Kristine played the roles of Angelo and Yna in the series, which many today still fondly remember as a favorite teleserye. The remake will star Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo in the lead roles. (WATCH: Daniel Padilla stars in ‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo’ music video)
“I’m very happy. I have no issues whatsoever pag dating sa edad (when it comes to age) because that’s inevitable. I live my age, I act my age..I take on roles that is bagay sa akin (that fits me). Pangako Sa ‘Yo is for me, very close to my heart. And I’m so excited to see it kasi ‘yon yung nagdala sa akin sa maraming lugar (that’s what took us to different places),” he said, during the press conference for his upcoming teleserye Bridges of Love.
“It taught me so many things. And being part of that I can say magnificent show, wonderful show is an honor. And now it’s being remade, parang gusto ko sabihin na (I want to say that) ‘wow what an honor na kayo ang nagstart nung show na may remake nila ngayon. (that you were part of a show that’s being remade today.)”
In Bridges of Love, Jericho plays Gael, the brother of Carlos (Paulo Avelino), with whom he loses touch after a great tragedy. He meets Mia (Maja Salvador), a night club dancer he falls in love with – and this may just open up the chance for Carlos and Gael to cross paths once more.
