MANILA, Philippines – TV host and showbiz anchor Pia Guanio has announced her departure from 24 Oras’ Chika Minute segment after 11 years. Pia’s last day with the show is on Friday, May 29.
On Twitter, Pia explained that she decided to let go of her anchoring duties to devote more time to her husband Steeve Mago and daughter Scarlet.
So after 11 years of doing Chika Minute on @24OrasGMA, I've decided to say good bye tonight.

Pia said she will continue her hosting duties in Eat Bulaga and Homebase. She also said her replacement will be announced on Friday.
Meanwhile, GMA 7 issued a statement regarding Pia’s departure from 24 Oras (see the full statement posted on GMA News Online): “After 11 years at the forefront of showbiz news, Pia Guanio has decided to say goodbye to Chika Minute on 24 Oras. Pia decided to let go of her anchoring duties on 24 Oras to prioritize family life and raising her daughter Scarlet with her husband Steve Mago.
