Kourtney Kardashian breaks up with Scott Disick – report

MANILA, Philippines – Kourtney Kardashian has ended her relationship with long-time boyfriend Scott Disick over the 4th of July holiday weekend, reports said.

According to E! News, Kourtney said she broke up with Disick to do “what was best for the kids.”  Kourtney and Scott have 3 children together – Mason, 5 Penelope, who turns 3 on Wednesday, and Reign, 6 months.

Scott was rumored to be cheating on Kourtney when he was spotted cozying up with friend Chloe Bartoli in Monte Carlo, France last week. 

“Scott has been running around saying he’s single,” a source told E! News. “Kourtney dumped him after she saw the pics [in Monte Carlo] and he hasn’t been home after a month-long party binge.”

Scott’s history of substance abuse added a strain to the couple’s relationship. 

In 2010, the couple temporarily split iduring the filming of Kourtney and Kim take Miami, because Kourtney believed Scott had a drinking problem. Scott temporarily gave up drinking and attended counseling with Kourtney. The couple reconciled later that year. 

That wasn’t the end of Scott’s substance abuse problems, though. Last year, on Kourtney and Khloé Take the Hamptons, Scott entered a Connecticut facility again, following a night of partying. Scott cut his stay short, though he said the experience was “scary” and made him “realize how much is at stake.”

He entered rehab again last March in Costa Rica, where he was “working on his issues,” according to an E! Online source. He is expected to return to rehab again soon, “as part of his ongoing therapy.”

According to a report from People, Scott discussed his drinking problem in an episode of  Keeping Up with The Kardashians.

“I definitely go in and out of happy and dark places in my life, and I wish that I could be a little more consistent, and I wish it was a little bit easier for me to be under control, but it’s not,” Disick said during a May episode of Keeping Up with The Kardashians.

The same report also said that Kourtney was seen stepping out on her own in Van Nuys, California last Friday July 3, and has not communicated Scott for some time. – Rappler.com
