MANILA, Philippines – If you haven't heard, Team 8 of the Japanese idol group AKB48 is in town, and they're performing at the Cool Japan Festival, which runs November 7 and 8.
This is the girls' first time in Manila, and the first time any of the AKB48 teams performed in the Philippines. (IN PHOTOS: AKB48, Alodia Gosiengfiao at Cool Japan Festival 2015)
The girls kicked off the first of their performances on November 7, with crowds of their fans dressed in AKB48 shirts cheering and dancing along to their songs. Watch some clips of Team 8 in their signature dark blue outfits below:

They even learned some Filipino, greeting their fans a good afternoon and telling them, "Itong awit ay para sa iyo (This song is for you)!"
