Box office update: MMFF 2014 movies hit 1.014B-mark

MANILA, Philippines – The 8 entries in the 2014 Metro Manila Film Festival have earned a total of P1.014 billion at the box office as of January 7.

In a text message to Rappler, Metro Manila Development Authority chairman Francis Tolentino said the figure was a 2.6 % increase from the previous year. 

In a report by Pep, Tolentino said that in 2013, the MMFF earned P999,302,000.

Still leading the 2014 box office is Vice Ganda’s The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin 2, followed by Feng Shui 2, My Big Bossing, and English Only Please.
