Singer-songwriter Adele is reportedly confirmed to be dating basketball sports agent Rich Paul, after being seen sitting together and watching the finals game five of the NBA at the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Saturday, July 17.
Media photos show Adele, 33, seated at the front row with Paul, 40, talking to each other in masks and sharing laughs during the basketball game between the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns.
ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on his The Lowe Podcast shared that the pair were indeed dating when they sat together during the match, saying “Lowe Rich Paul, [LeBron James’] agent, brings his girlfriend to the game sitting next to LeBron. His girlfriend is Adele.”
“This is the first time that they’ve come out in public together. So this will be all over the tabloids, especially in England tomorrow,” he added.
Paul founded the Klutch Sports Group in 2012, where he represents a handful of professional basketball heavyweights, including LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Ben Simmons, Draymond Green, Tristan Thompson, Eric Bledsoe, and Trae Young.
In a May 2021 New Yorker profile, Paul said that he has been “hanging out” with a “major pop star” recently. However, he added: “I’m not dating, I’m single. Put that in the story.”
The British Grammy Award-winning artist’s appearance with Paul comes roughly four months after finalizing her divorce with Simon Konecki, which was filed in September 2019.
They married privately in 2016 after dating for five years but eventually split in April 2019. Both share an eight-year-old son named Angelo Adkins.
Rumors about an upcoming break-up album by the "Rolling In The Deep" singer also came into light, which will be about her musings on her recent divorce, according to a New York Post report.
Adele is known for hit songs “Rolling in the Deep,” “Someone Like You,” “Chasing Pavements,” “Hello,” "Rumor Has It," and “Set Fire to the Rain,” among others. The best-selling artist, who has over 120 million record sales worldwide, has been awarded with 15 Grammy Awards and nine Brit Awards. – with reports from Paolo Alejandrino/Rappler.com
