Angelina Jolie moves to sell shares of wine venture shared with Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie is seeking to end her business relationship with ex-husband Brad Pitt. The actress has requested a judge to lift an order to allow her to sell her part of their shared wine venture.

Citing a court document, E! News reports that Angelina’s lawyers have requested to lift the Automatic Temporary Restraining Order (ATRO) on their divorce so that she can sell her company Nouvel LLC, through which she co-owns their wine estate Chateau Miraval. The ATRO is a common practice in divorce proceedings, prohibiting divorcing spouses from transferring property or assets.

According to E!, Angelina has tried to sell her share of the property to Brad himself, but the Hollywood heavyweights could not come to an agreement on the sale.

She has since found a third-party buyer for Nouvel, but the buyer may still pull out without a signed agreement, which she cannot have until the ATRO is lifted.

Angelina filed for divorce from Brad in 2016, two years after they married in Chateau Miraval, and over a decade after they met on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith – the infamous film on which set they would later admit they fell in love in.

The pair’s marriage was officially dissolved in 2019, and Brad was granted joint custody over their 5 children in May, with their oldest son Maddox exempted from the decision. – Rappler.com
