Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff celebrated the 11th month of their firstborn daughter Dahlia Amélie on February 2, and to mark the occasion the couple started a fundraiser for babies and children in need.

On the fundraising page, Anne said “Celebrating the first birthday of our daughter, Dahlia Amélie, brings us a lot of excitement and happiness. The journey of and to parenthood has really taught us how important the first 1000 days of life are for a child. From pre-natal care in their mother’s womb, to their first steps, the first 1000 days play a very vital role in every child’s health and development.”

“Sadly, not all children and mothers have access to the information or essentials needed to ensure both mother and child are healthy and happy. There’s nothing I wish more than for ALL children to be given the best start in life,” she continued.

She then invited her family, friends, and followers to contribute to the fundraiser, which aims to help babies and mothers get adequate health care. Anne and Erwan will also match the total amount raised and donate it to the organization.

Anne, a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, gave birth to Dahlia in Melbourne, Australia on March 2, 2020. The family has been based there throughout the pandemic.

Anne is among the biggest stars in the Philippines. Before taking a break to give birth to Dahlia, she co-hosted It’s Showtime, one of the country’s biggest noon time shows. – Rappler.com
