'It felt like my whole world was ending,' says Beauty

Beauty Gonzalez shared on Sunday, April 4 that her husband Norman Crisologo survived COVID-19.

“Norman tested positive for COVID and had to be rushed to hospital. This world problem suddenly hit home hard and fast and I wasn’t prepared,” she wrote in an Instagram post.

The 29-year old actress said her husband was alone in a hospital ward, as she took care of their daughter Olivia at home. “I too was alone at home with Olivia totally in the dark as to what is happening at the hospital. It felt like my whole world was ending and I didn’t know how or why… I didn’t know what to do.”

“Everything was a possibility with this unstudied disease. No cure, no sure treatment was the only sure thing. I was going out of my mind, trying to call anyone who could offer me hope… All I could do was wait,” she said.

“The hardest thing for a wife to do is just sit and wait for a sick husband to come home, not being able to be there and comfort him was against every grain in my body. But it was something every one of us in this situation has had to do,” she continued.

Beauty said that she did not know what to do other than pray, until one day, her husband came back home, cured. “Nothing will ever be the same again. Family is everything,” she said.

Beauty and Norman got married in March 2017. Together, they have a daughter named Olivia. – Rappler.com
