'We’ve lined up a soap project for her, a very interesting one,' says GMA senior vice president for entertainment group Lilybeth Rasonable

GMA Network announced on Friday, June 11 that actress Beauty Gonzalez has joined them as their newest talent.

“Welcome Kapusong Beauty,” they wrote on Instagram, alongside a screenshot of Beauty in a virtual meeting with the network executives.

Present at the virtual contract signing event were senior vice president for entertainment group Lilybeth Rasonable, first vice president for drama Redgie Magno, senior vice president for drama Cheryl Ching-Sy, and Beauty’s manager Arnold Vegafria.

In a 24 Oras report,  Rasonable talked about Beauty’s upcoming projects with GMA. “We’ve lined up a soap project for her, a very interesting one,” she said.

Alam mo naman sa GMA, mahilig tayo or mayroon tayong palaging tinatahak na mga bagong stories, bagong tema. Beauty will be part of that. (You know, here in GMA, we like to tell stories with interesting themes, Beauty will be part of that). This one is the first big project, it’s not a super heavy drama. She will have her opportunity for light moments also,” she added.

The 30- year-old actress also shared how nervous and excited she is to be part of the Kapuso network. “May mga bagong magkakasama, bagong playground (New colleagues, new workplace). Very thankful ako kasi I can continue what I love to do – acting and making people happy,” Beauty said.

She added that she’ll also be open to work in comedy projects if given the chance. “Iba rin siyang challenge na gusto ko ma-itry (It’s a challenge that I want to try),” she said.

Beauty entered showbiz as part of ABS-CBN’s Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus in 2008, where she won as 4th grand placer. She is best known for her roles as Teri Laurel in Pusong Ligaw and Romina Mondragon in Kadenang Ginto. – Rappler.com
