Philippine telecommunications giant Smart Communications released on Thursday, April 22, its “Live Your Passion with Purpose” campaign starring global pop phenomenon BTS.
The TVC, shot in Seoul, is set to two of BTS’s most recent hits – “Life Goes On” and “Dynamite.” The two songs, part of their album BE, topped charts and broke records in the international music scene. “Dynamite” also happens to be BTS’s first all-English single.
BTS – composed of RM, Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, Suga, V, and Jungkook – is one of the biggest pop acts in the world today. They debuted in South Korea in 2013 and have since rose to international fame, with world tour stops that sell out in minutes and a global fandom, affectionately known as ARMY.
The deal, first confirmed in January 2021, is Smart’s first with BTS.
“BTS won over the hearts of millions all over the world not just with their talent, but also with their messages of hope and inspiration,” said Smart’s Head of Consumer Wireless Business Jane Basas.
The ad features the Grammy-nominated septet walking up and down Penrose stairs, as they encounter motivational phrases.
