Cesar, Sunshine meet in court

MANILA, Philippines - Estranged celebrity couple Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz faced each other Thursday, August 15, at the Quezon City Hall of Justice, pep.ph reports.

The actor-director brought with him their daughters Angelina Isabelle, Samantha Angelene, and Angel Franchesca.

Montano and Cruz appeared before the Court of Judge Fernando Sagon Jr. to hear Cruz’s petition for a Permanent Protection Order from Montano.

Cruz also has a petition for habeas corpus before the Court of Judge Jose Bautista Jr.

Neither the couple nor their lawyers, Joel Ferrer for Montano and Bonifacio Alentajan and his son Carlo Bonifacio for Cruz, said much to the media crowding this venue about the closed-door hearing, in view of a gag order on the habeas corpus petition.

But a source says the children will spend 3 days each with Montano and Cruz, with their Sundays alternating between their estranged parents.

In the course of the media frenzy after the hearing, the couple and their children rode in the same vehicle as they left the Hall of Justice.

Amid Cruz’s allegation that Montano is keeping their daughters away from her, the children appeared to be comfortable with and even close to their father.

Montano said he is interested primarily in resolving this marital conflict. – Rappler.com
