‘I am a huge fan’: Dimples Romana meets Song Joong-ki

MANILA, Philippines – Dimples Romana couldn’t help but gush over South Korean superstar Song Joong-Ki after meeting him at the 50th International Emmy Awards in New York City. 

The Filipina actress took to Instagram on Wednesday, November 23, to recall her fan girl moment as she shared a photo with the actor, saying that many of her dreams came true with this New York trip. 

“Hi Mr. [Song Joong-ki]. It was such a pleasure and huge honor to meet a fellow actor like you. I am a huge fan. We Filipinos love you,” she wrote. 

Dimples added that Joong-ki was “super warm,” “so handsome in person,” and “super humble.”

“Just sharing my kilig as a fan, halos hindi na ako [makahinga niyan] (I almost couldn’t breathe here),” she said. 

The actress also expressed her desire to have an opportunity to work with the actor: “Manifesting that in this lifetime I get to work and act alongside him.” 

Celebrities like Anne Curtis and Sharon Cuneta wrote in the comments section about how happy they were for Dimples. 

Dimples recently flew to New York for the 50th International Emmy Awards as an official member of the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. 

“What a dream to meet so many fellow academy members and industry partners in New York and get to be in the presence of inspiring creatives from all over the world,” she wrote in a separate Instagram post. 

It was in June when Dimples first announced that she was chosen to be one of the jurors for the 2022 International Emmy Awards, saying that it was a “once-in-a-lifetime experience.” 

Dimples has been in showbiz since the late ’90s and rose to fame as a cast member of Tabing Ilog. She is known for her roles in One More Chance and Kadenang Ginto, among others. – Rappler.com
