Kier Legaspi has organized his own community pantry in Marikina to extend help to those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The actor shared photos of their pantry stocked with packed food items, fresh produce, and other basic necessities. “Sa kabila ng aking paggawa, isang bagay ang alam ko, ako’y isang aliping walang kabuluhan. To God be the Glory,” he said.
(Despite my hard work, I know I’m just a servant of the Lord. To God be the Glory.)
Kier was also holding signs to remind the public to wear their face shields, observe social distancing, and follow safety protocols while lining up at the pantry.
In a separate post, he also asked others to give back if they have the means.
The first community pantry was set up along Maginhawa Street in Quezon City on April 14 by 26-year-old Ana Patricia Non. Since then, various community pantries have been set up all over the Philippines. Several celebrities, including Gabbi Garcia and Angel Locsin, have also set up their own pantries. – Rappler.com
