Millie Bobby Brown is reportedly taking legal action against TikTok user Hunter “Echo” Ecimovic, after he alluded to having a romantic relationship with the actress and saying that he “groomed” her.

In a statement sent to TMZ on Tuesday, July 13, Brown’s representative said that the remarks of Ecimovic were “not only dishonest, but also [were] irresponsible, offensive, and hateful.”

“Instead of engaging in a public discourse with him through the press or on social media, we are taking action to ensure that he stops this behavior once and for all,” the statement further read.

The 21-year-old TikTok personality came under fire on social media when he claimed in an Instagram livestream on Monday, July 12, that he was engaged in a physical relationship and predatory behavior towards Brown when she was 16 while he was 20.

According to a Page Six report, Ecimovic confirmed in the video that he groomed Millie, who is now 17 years old, and even lived at the actress’ house for eight months. His remarks were in response to comments accusing him of sexual assault after photos of him kissing the British teen star on the cheek emerged on social media.

He added that everything he did to her during that time was “completely legal and it was approved by everybody that I was with.” The age of consent in California, where Ecimovic is based, is 18 years old.

On Tuesday, Ecimovic released a video on his TikTok account explaining that he was only “drunk” during the livestream. “I said stuff that should have never been said,” he admitted.
