LOOK: ‘Glee’ cast hold mini-reunion

Several Glee cast and crew members have reunited.

Chord Overstreet, who played Sam Evans in the series, shared photos of the reunion on his Instagram on Sunday, July 11. “Missed this crew so much! So good to be back and get to see all [of] you, wonderful people,” he wrote.

Also present in the reunion were Heather Morris, Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale, and screenwriters Michael Hitchcock and Matt Hodgson. 

Amber Riley, who portrayed Mercedes Jones, wasn’t present in the reunion but left a crying emoji in the comments section. 

The Glee reunion was posted days after the first anniversary of Naya Rivera’s death. Prior to the get together, several cast members posted their tributes to remember Naya, who played Santana Lopez in the series. 

In April 2021, Glee cast members also held a virtual reunion at the GLADD (Gay and Lesbian Allaince Against Defamation) Media Awards, to honor the legacy of Naya’s character. 

Naya’s body was found on July 14, 2020, five days after the 33-year-old actress was first reported missing. She was on a boat trip with her son Josey Hollis Dorsey on Lake Piru in Ventura County, California. 

Glee is a musical-comedy-drama series that follows the glee club New Directions of William McKinley High School. It ran from 2009 to 2015, with a total of six seasons. – Rappler.com
